In "Children in Heaven," YooJin begins a challenging three-month tenure as a temporary teacher at a school for troubled students. Her diverse class includes JungHoon, grappling with the aftermath of being kicked off the soccer team due to a violent incident, and SungAh, who navigates life with her mother hailing from Yanbian, China. Faced with these adolescents' complex backgrounds and behavioral issues, YooJin seeks to find a way to connect with them and unlock their hidden potential. She initiates an ambitious project, encouraging the students to participate in a musical destined for a talent show hosted by the district office. This endeavor becomes more than just a performance; it transforms into a journey of self-discovery, teamwork, and healing. Through the collaborative process of putting on a show, YooJin helps her students confront their pasts, build confidence, and ultimately find a sense of belonging and hope.
