In the comedy drama Cast Me If You Can, eternal supporting actor Hiroshi, played by Toru Masuoka, finds his real life mirroring his minor acting career. Lacking a commanding presence, Hiroshi is constantly mistaken for a shop clerk, security guard, or even a kidnapper on the street. At home, his famous playwright father, Kenta Matsuzaki, played by Masahiko Tsugawa, treats him like an idiot. However, Hiroshi's life turns upside down when he meets Aya, played by Hiromi Nagasaku, an aspiring actress who becomes the woman of his dreams.
