In the quirky fantasy film Bug Me Not, Moon is a misunderstood young misfit who possesses the unique ability to talk to bugs. Deemed strange by society, her life gets complicated when she develops a crush on Hyland, a boy with a severe aversion to physical contact. Moon's daily routine is further upended by Coochie, an annoying talking ladybug who insists on advising her. Soon, Moon crosses paths with a band of extraordinary kids boasting unique abilities, including telekinetic twins, a high jumping teen, a fortune teller, and a boy with X-ray vision. Leading this group is Auntie, a woman who looks early to mid twenties but is actually seventy years old. Auntie wants both Moon and Hyland to join her squad, aiming to harness Moon's bug talking skills and Hyland's incredible super speed dodging abilities.
