In the gripping crime drama Border, Shun Oguri stars as Ango Ishikawa, a brilliant and highly ambitious detective dedicated entirely to his work. Lacking any personal life, Ango relies solely on his keen observational skills and physical strength to solve cases. However, his life changes forever during a crime scene investigation of a murdered former police officer. Ambushed by the killer, Ango is shot in the head. While hovering between life and death, a strong desire to survive triggers a miracle. Ango wakes up with the bullet still lodged in his brain and immediately returns to duty. His near-death experience grants him a supernatural ability: he can now see and communicate with the deceased. When a new murder case arises, Ango spots a crying boy whom only he can see. Realizing the boy is the murder victim, Ango must use his new paranormal gift to bridge the gap between the living and the dead to solve crimes.
