The drama Birth Secret follows the emotional journey of Jung Yi Hyun, played by Sung Yu Ri, a highly educated woman with a genius-level IQ. Her life takes a dramatic turn when she suffers from retrograde amnesia, erasing ten years of her memory from the age of 17 to 27. Consequently, she completely forgets her poor, uneducated husband Hong Kyung Doo, portrayed by Yoo Joon Sang, and their genius daughter Hae Deum, played by Gal So Won. Confused by her circumstances, Jung Yi Hyun cannot understand why she married such a seemingly unsuited man. She has forgotten that they met and fell in love on the brink of their suicide attempts. Although Hong Kyung Doo lacks wealth and education, he is a devoted husband and a loving father. He commits himself to helping his wife regain her lost memories and make sense of their beautiful life together.
