Description:

Beijing Bicycle follows Guei, a seventeen-year-old from the countryside, as he arrives in Beijing to find work. He secures a job as a courier and is provided with a brand-new bicycle, which becomes central to his new life. Tragedy strikes when his prized bicycle is stolen, prompting Guei to embark on a determined and stubborn search across the city to recover it. Unbeknownst to him, a schoolboy named Jian Li acquires Guei's stolen bicycle from a secondhand market on the other side of Beijing.

Guei's relentless quest eventually brings him face-to-face with Jian. This confrontation not only questions the ownership of the bicycle but also delves into profound themes of youth and identity.
