In the romantic drama Banchangkko, MiSoo, played by Han HyoJoo, is a passionate doctor whose fiery temper leads to a critical mistake. After misdiagnosing a critically ill woman due to a prejudice against her husband, the patient is left near death, and a massive lawsuit threatens MiSoo's career. To save herself, MiSoo must find a character witness. Enter KangIl, played by Ko Soo, a dedicated but grieving firefighter who keeps to himself after his wife's death. KangIl was present during the medical emergency and was later assaulted by the angry husband. Discovering this, MiSoo schemes to get close to the stoic firefighter, hoping he will testify in her defense. However, winning over the reserved KangIl is no easy task. As these two damaged souls clash and connect, MiSoo's selfish plan begins to change.
