Around The City 2014 is an emotional youth drama centering on Gordon Chan, a prestigious high school student in Nanjing. After school, Gordon Chan and his classmates Xiao B and Chen Mo often stroll around the Pioneer bookstore, where they meet Linpei Xi, a beautiful girl who occasionally performs and pastes posters. Captivated, Gordon Chan writes a song lyric called Twilight is not deep on the walls and asks Linpei Xi to help compose the music. Through their connection, Linpei Xi shares her dream of traveling to a future town to study French chanson music. However, shortly after they finish the beautiful song sheet, Linpei Xi quietly disappears, leaving a message that she is going abroad.
