In the movie Architecture 101, thirty-five-year-old architect SeungMin receives an unexpected visit at his office from a woman he does not recognize at first. He soon realizes she is SeoYeon, his first love from his college freshman year. They have not seen each other in fifteen years, but SeoYeon has a special request. She wants to hire SeungMin to rebuild her home on Jeju Island. Fifteen years ago, SeungMin was a naive young man starting his architecture studies. He met SeoYeon in their Architecture 101 class, and as they worked on a class project together, they began to fall in love. In the present day, SeungMin is hesitant to take the job, but SeoYeon persists, even going to his boss. Left with no choice, SeungMin takes on the project. As they work together, old memories of love and heartbreak resurface, reminding them of the past while they stand at different junctions in their lives.
