In the action-packed martial arts film Arahan, Sanghwan, a clumsy yet honest rookie policeman, gets severely injured while chasing a motorcycle thief. He is rescued by Euijin, a highly skilled martial arts specialist, who takes him to her home. There, six Masters of Tao heal Sanghwan and discover he possesses an incredibly powerful Qi, the spiritual energy of the universe. Recognizing his immense potential, they train him to become a mighty Maruchi warrior. Meanwhile, trouble brews as the evil and ambitious Heukwoon is accidentally released from his long imprisonment.
