"And, Live" tells the story of Toko, who despite losing her parents at three, experienced a happy childhood raised by her uncle. Dreaming of an acting career, her plans for a Tokyo audition at age 19 are abruptly halted when the great Tohoku earthquake and tsunami devastates Japan on March 11, 2011.

Months later, in the autumn of 2011, Toko is working at a cafe. She embarks on a journey to Kesennuma with her Korean coworker to assist in the area's recovery through volunteer work. Amidst the rebuilding efforts, she encounters Kiyotaka, a university student who is also part of a volunteer group. As they spend time together and contribute to the community's revival in Kesennuma, Toko and Kiyotaka develop deep feelings for each other, finding solace and connection in a world dramatically altered by tragedy.
