An Angel's Happiness is a touching romance drama about An Jieluo, an outstanding but arrogant doctor who loses his terminally ill girlfriend. Devastated and seeking redemption for her past mistake, Jieluo travels to Pehu Island to find Liping, a young girl accidentally infected with HIV. There, he meets Liping's beautiful, hardworking mother, Li Xiaohan, who raises her daughter to live happily despite her condition. As Jieluo works on an island renovation project, he stays at Xiaohan's lodge. Despite their contrasting backgrounds and personalities, they overcome land acquisition issues and fall deeply in love. However, Jieluo's mother strongly opposes their relationship, forcing Xiaohan to disappear to protect the island's future. Devastated, Jieluo makes finding Xiaohan his only goal in life. But just as they are on the verge of a tearful reunion, a fatal car accident puts their lives in extreme peril.
