Aijou Ippon is a heartwarming family drama from NTV that follows Tomoe, an average seventeen-year-old high school girl. While she loves fashion and boys, her home life is far from normal. Since losing her mother at a young age, Tomoe has managed all the cooking, laundry, and housekeeping for herself and her father, Shouhei. The family constantly struggles to make ends meet because Shouhei’s only income comes from working as a judo teacher to neighborhood kids. Tomoe dreams of attending university to finally escape her father and the judo she hates. However, her plans are shattered when her father is unfortunately arrested, forcing her to take over the dojo. With support from the captain of her high school’s judo team, Tomoe begins teaching the few kids who still attend. Along the way, she even starts practicing the judo she abandoned as a child. This touching family drama is sure to entertain both kids and adults alike.
