Actionhero follows Joo Sung, an ordinary college student with extraordinary dreams of becoming a legendary action movie star like Jackie Chan. Partnering with the studious Chanyeol for a film project, their ambition for cinematic greatness takes an unexpected turn. During their filmmaking endeavors, they accidentally uncover a mysterious, threatening letter sent to Professor Cha. This letter exposes a serious university admission fraud and demands a significant sum of 30 million won in exchange for silence. Rather than reporting the crime, Joo Sung, fueled by his passion for captivating storytelling, decides to daringly incorporate this real-life blackmail scenario into their film's plot.
