In the psychological thriller A Puppet, psychiatrist Jihoon (Lee Jongsoo) is a man who deeply distrusts the concept of love. His cynical worldview is challenged when Hyeonjin (Koo Jisung), the girlfriend of his close friend, seeks his professional help. Plagued by vivid, terrifying phantasms, she desperately needs relief. Jihoon decides to use hypnotism to uncover the root of her psychological distress. During these intense therapy sessions, he penetrates her subconscious and uncovers a horrific, deeply buried past. As Jihoon successfully guides Hyeonjin toward healing and freedom from her trauma, a dark obsession takes hold of him. He finds himself falling deeply in love with his vulnerable patient. Unable to control his desires, Jihoon abuses his psychiatric power. He places a powerful post-hypnotic suggestion on Hyeonjin, compelling her to visit him every Sunday at 3 PM, no matter what. Bound by this mental trap, she obeys like a helpless puppet, setting up a chilling tale of obsession and manipulation.
