In 1969 Sendai Miyagi Prefecture Japan, "A Cappella" unveils the emotional journey of Noma Kyoko, a loving high school student deeply involved in campus protests. Her world expands when she crosses paths with university student Domoto Wataru at the inviting tea cafe, Mubansou A Cappella. A powerful attraction sparks between them, and Kyoko soon falls deeply in love amidst the era's social unrest. Their burgeoning romance, however, takes a perilous turn.
