Description:

A Bittersweet Life is a gripping action thriller about loyalty, betrayal, and ultimate revenge. Gangland boss Kang suspects his girlfriend, Hee Su, of being unfaithful and sends his trusted righthand man, Sun Woo, to sort out the problem. However, in an uncharacteristic moment of weakness, Sun Woo falls for Hee Su, taken in by her grace and humanity. When Sun Woo finally catches Hee Su with her lover, he finds himself unable to kill her and allows her to flee. This act of mercy infuriates Kang, who orders his thugs to savagely beat Sun Woo and leave him for dead. But the thugs do not finish the job. When Sun Woo eventually revives himself, his loyalty is shattered, and he has nothing but vengeance on his mind. This intense film explores the high cost of a single moment of compassion in a brutal underworld.
