In the supernatural horror comedy 24 Hours Ghost Story, directed by Wellson Chin Singwai, a malevolent spirit begins haunting the unsuspecting customers of a 24-hour convenience mart. Store clerk Mo taiho Francis Ng Chunyu fears he is losing his mind when he starts hearing eerie Peking opera echoing from the telephones, freezers, and the backroom. His sanity is further pushed to the brink by nightly nightmares dominated by a hideous ghoul. The only person who believes his wild story is Charles Chan Dayo Wong Chiwah, a lonely cop whose mother is an expert on poltergeists. She recommends using a child's urine or a black dog's tail to ward off the spirit. However, both bizarre options fail when the ghost forces Mo to drink the urine, and neither man can bear to harm a puppy. Desperate, they hire a Taoist master, but he is easily defeated. Now, this lowly clerk must find a way to defeat his supernatural foe.
