Description:

"18x2 Beyond Youthful Days" is a moving tale of first love and rediscovery spanning nearly two decades. The story begins with high school student Jimmy, who encounters Ami, a Japanese backpacker four years his senior, at his summer part-time job. Over the summer, they grow close, sharing motorcycle rides and movie nights, leading to Jimmy developing a fond crush on Ami. Their budding romance is abruptly interrupted when Ami decides to return to Japan, leaving Jimmy with a heartfelt promise amidst his confusion.

Eighteen years later, an older Jimmy stumbles upon an old postcard Ami sent him from Japan, triggering a flood of memories of his first love. Driven by a desire to confront his past and understand his present, Jimmy embarks on his first solo journey to Japan. He travels by train, listening to songs that evoke their shared moments, as he heads towards Ami's hometown. This poignant trip questions whether Jimmy will finally be able to reunite with Ami.
