Idol is Dead is a gripping dark comedy thriller about shattered dreams, jealousy, and a desperate cover-up. Rui once dreamed of becoming a famous singer, but failure forced her to work as a hostess in the countryside. One day, while heading home with her friend Tsunko, Rui crosses paths with Momoko, her former rival who has achieved massive success as a popular idol.
