Happy New Year is an action-comedy heist film centered on Charlie, a street fighter seeking revenge against the ruthless businessman Charan Grover. Eight years prior, Grover framed Charlie's father, Manohar Sharma, for a massive diamond theft, leading to his tragic demise. To exact revenge, Charlie plans to steal the priceless Shalimar Diamonds from a highly secure vault at the Atlantis hotel and frame Grover. Charlie assembles a unique team of misfits, including the strong Jag, the vault expert Tammy, the hacker Rohan, and Nandu, a lookalike of Grover's son. To access the vault, the team must enter the World Dance Championship. They recruit Mohini, a talented bar dancer, to teach them how to dance. As the competition heats up in Dubai, the team must execute their complex heist while managing their newfound pride in representing India. Ultimately, they pull off the ultimate heist and secure national glory.
