The emotional drama Crossing follows Yongsoo, a poor worker living in a North Korea coalmine village with his wife and young son. Despite extreme poverty, the family is happy just to be together. However, tragedy strikes when Yongsoo’s pregnant wife falls critically ill. With no food or medicine available in North Korea, Yongsoo secretly crosses the border into China to save her. After surviving several life-threatening situations, he is forced into South Korea as an unwanted refugee, banned from returning home. Tragically, his wife passes away, leaving their young son completely alone. With no one to turn to, the young boy sets out on a desperate journey to find his father, not knowing where or how to find him. This gripping movie highlights a heartbreaking family separation and a father and son's struggle to reunite against all odds.
